Stakeholder Capitalism

After a lifetime as an acupuncturist and mindfulness practitioner, Huw decided to join the digital age and focus on Sustainability. Three months in lockdown on the edge of the Black Mountains, Wales. Alone with just the kites, the larks and the green hills. Huw realised that he needed to communicate his experiences and deeply held values concerning mother earth, sustainability and the interconnected web of life. Focusing on the Environment, Economics and the human desire for Health Wellbeing and Security to assure a complete life.

Buying Ecover washing up liquid, and sorting the recycling is OK but really, really? What is it we have to do to be happy, to have a fully peaceful and rewarding life? A life with more sustainability.

After 64 yrs of trial and error, mistakes and chances lost and gained Huw came to the following understanding.

With our thoughts so we create our world.

Huw had a dream where  there was harmony between economic commerce, the environment, and the needs of all humans. There is a word for it, Stakeholder Capitalism.

Stakeholder Capitalism is a balance between the needs and natural qualities of all three of these aspects.

Making the  Stakeholder Capitalism Society

This sense of balance and well-being can only be attained when the mind is calm, clear, focused, and present. From here then arises the personal insight to take the positive actions which will forge the difference.

It is not what we do but the way in which we do it

Therefore  there are three aspects of modern life which need immediate attention. These are not separate entities but closely interdependent aspects of modern life in the 21C

  1. Managing today’s  economic  orthodoxies so that the bottom line is extended to include the impact on the environment and impact on human lives as equal in value to making a profit and return for shareholders.
  2. Environmental consideration of all human actions direct and indirect. Zero pollution, Zero waste landfills, Zero water waste, positive caring agriculture and food production.
  3. Human wellbeing. Education equality and understanding. Acceptance of the great value in stopping in the Now to connect with the inner wisdom of insight and compassion.

Technology of the future

This is all possible and doable. We just have to see with new eyes and have the insight to our thoughts feelings and action. so that they not only benefit ourselves, our family, our clan, but also it benefits all other human beings and life on the planet.

Every action must arise from the desire of every individual to make this world a better place, sustainable, renewable, and resilient for life. To continue long into the future, long after our own deaths and passing. Leaving a legacy of positive action and gentle compassion.

There can be no significant or social improvement in health and wellbeing without a change in people’s hearts and minds on an individual level.        Pierre Rabhi

Not only do we need to reduce the human impact and footprint on the planet through zero pollution, zero landfill waste, zero wasted water. What we need is also an internal personal revolution through the sense of realising how we already have completion as we are in the moment. For this is the only way to abate the fear and anxiety of lack and scarcity.
